John Schumacher (AKA Mr. Schu) is nationally known for his expertise in children’s literature and for igniting a passion to read. He will share his experiences in promoting a culture of reading among students, staff, and parents. John Schu's keynote and appearance are made possible through partnership with Scholastic.

OSPI Candidates Forum
Candidates for Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal and Erin Jones will be joining us for a Question and Answer forum at 7:45pm. This free event will be the culminating activity of our two day conference, and the candidates will answer a variety of questions submitted by WLMA members and from the Washington State PTA. Come hear their thoughts on school and library funding, providing equity for all students and increasing parent involvement.
