It took awhile to get up to steam, but 2018 was a great building year for the Academic Library Division, and 2019 is going to be the year where we kick off a flurry of activity. Great! But where should we start? We'll look at questions to help us form a vision and mission that guides the division, such as:

  • What issues are important to academic library staff in Washington State that we can help address?
  • What matters to us? What inspires us? What bothers us, and what can we do about it?
  • What are some key concepts or ideas that should be a part of our vision and guiding principles?
  • How do we keep the ALD edifying but make sure it is also entertaining?
  • How do we use this space to build a sense of community among academic library staff all throughout the state?

We would love to hear from you! If you have ideas you'd like to share, please send them along to one of the Academic Library Division officers. We'd love to receive your insights, inspirations, and feedback!

Academic library involvement in the Washington Library Association is at an all-time high. Now let's work together and make it count!
