2024 Meetings & Events

Tuesday, July 30th @4pm

The Social Responsibilities Round Table (SRRT) invites you to rest this summer! Let's get our Summer Reading on with "Rest is Resistance: a Manifesto" by Tricia Hersey and put our resistance to the test. We'll be taking a stand (or lying down) on June 25th by taking the SRRT meeting off and then coming back together on Tuesday, July 30th to discuss Tricia Hersey's manifesto.

Checkout "Rest is Resistance" at your public library or listen in on a podcast featuring Tricia Hersey, Founder of the Nap Ministry.

Then let's consider:

  • How does your library disrupt or support destructive systems?
  • How can rest revolutionize the library setting?
  • How do you encourage rest?
  • How do you practice rest?
  • ...and more!
