I've been through a lot (my human died and his family took me to a shelter) but was taken in by Old Dog Haven, an organization that pays for all my medical bills. I just needed a home to settle in and Old Dog Haven found one for me. I love to sit on the couch while my new human reads. If you'd like to help an old dog, consider Old Dog Haven. Why Pocket Loves WLA: Pocket absolutely adores the Washington Library Association, especially because it’s filled with book lovers who appreciate a cozy reading companion. She was adopted during a library collaboration with the Humane Society and spent her first few weeks at her person's library, greeting patrons and cuddling staff.

She’s a big fan of libraries because they prove you don’t need to ruffle feathers to spread knowledge, and the WLA makes every day a pecking success for librarians everywhere!

Why Sonar Loves WLA: Sonar can't see, but she loves to help me "read" by standing on every possible book and sometimes licking the pages. She pulls her (tiny) weight as an honorary WLA member because she's my fuzzy emotional support as I earn my library degree and work at my local community college!
