WLA Past Individual Rates

The WLA Finance Committee proposed an individual member rates restructure this year, which was approved by the WLA Board at its meeting on Aug. 9 and voted for approval by WLA Membership during the 2025 Elections. Current rates through may be viewed at wla.org/individuals.

Individual Employee

Up to $10k	$20	Individual Employee memberships are for individuals currently employed in any type of library. The rate each Individual member pays is self-selected. WLA does not collect income information about our members.

$20.1k - $25k	$35
$25.1k - $30k	$40
$30.1k - $35k	$45
$35.1k - $40k	$50
$40.1k - $45k	$60
$45.1k - $50k	$70
$50.1k - $60k	$75
$60.1k - $70k	$90
$70.1k - $80k	$100
$80.1k - $90k	$120
$90.1k - $100k	$135
$100k and Above	$150

Student	$20	This WLA membership is for current students. To join both ALA and WLA, see the ALA-WLA Joint Student membership.
ALA-WLA Joint Student	$44	Students are encouraged to explore ALA's Joint Chapter Membership. Eligible students must enroll directly through the ALA/WLA Joint Membership Program.
Retired/Unemployed	$20	This membership is for individuals who are retired library employees or unemployed.
Friend, Trustee, Foundation or Nonprofit	$20	This membership is for individuals associated with a Friends of the Library group, library board of trustees, foundation, or other nonprofit.
Business & Sales	$50	This membership is for individuals who are associated with library-related businesses or vendors.
