2020 WLA Conference Registration

Did you miss the chance to attend #WLA2020? Never fear – you can still take advantage of the great learning and networking opportunities through our extended-access virtual conference platform! Registration for full access to the archived 2020 WLA Conference is open through 11:59 PM PT on October 30. Registrants should expect to receive access to the Whova conference platform within 1-2 business days of registering. 

For just $65 per person ($50 for WLA members!) you’ll get access to all of these great features through December 31:

  • Recordings of every conference session available for on-demand viewing, including keynotes
  • Downloadable handouts, slide decks, and resource guides from conference presenters
  • Contact information and downloadable materials from exhibitors
  • Community forums to continue to connect with your peers

Group Viewing Rates

A group viewing is one great way to engage your staff or peer group, generate a discussion, and make the conference locally relevant. Groups can be as small as two to be effective!

WLA encourages groups to use our Group Viewing Guide to plan before, during, and after the virtual conference. The table below shows the discount per attendee, regardless of membership status, based on the size of the group. For group discount codes, please email the anticipated number of attendees and a general overview of the format of the event to [email protected].

Organizational Rates

For this virtual event, WLA is excited to allow organizations to purchase a pass to grant all staff online access to the 2020 WLA Conference! All levels of staff need and deserve professional development, and each year libraries have to make difficult decisions about how many people they can afford to send to conference--especially when facing budget cuts. An all-access pass will allow staff from all levels, roles, and career stages to attend for a flat fee, regardless of their WLA membership status.

Your employees can pop in and out of the conference as needed to work around schedules, and they will have access to all session recordings through the end of the year. The cost is less than the travel, lodging, and registration expenses to send just a handful of employees to conference, and your staff at all levels could each have access to 70 hours of quality professional development.

Determining Your Rate

Organizations will self-select their pricing tier based on their total number of employees (see table to the right). You may need to make certain self-determinations (e.g. whether you want a pass for your individual branch/school, or your entire library system/school district). If your organization doesn’t fit into this pricing structure or you have questions, email [email protected] to figure out your rate.

Registering a Group

If your library or organization would like to register multiple individuals, there are two methods you may choose from. The deadline for group registrations is Monday, September 14. See above for instructions on accessing discount codes for Group Viewing Rates or Organizational Rates.

  • Method 1 – Employees register as individuals: Distribute discount codes (if applicable) to your staff. Individual employees can each register themselves. Invoices can be paid individually or together by check or credit card.
  • Method 2 – Excel template: If you'd prefer not to allow your employees to register as individuals, fill out this Excel template with all attendee information and email it to [email protected]. We will send you a single invoice that can be paid by check or credit card.
