Sara Houghton - Welcome Breakfast Keynote Speaker

Sarah Houghton is the Director of the San Rafael Public Library in California, a two library system serving a town of 60,000. She also writes the Librarian in Black blog, which she started in 2003. Sarah has worked in libraries for the last 15 years (as a librarian for 10). She has worked with state and national library advocacy organizations including Infopeople, California Library Association, American Library Association, and the Library and Information Technology Association-- including a three-year stint as a member of LITA's Top Technology Trends Committee and working on the OITP eBooks Taskforce. She was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker as a Trendspotter in 2009. She speaks internationally at live and online events for libraries and other institutions. Gene Ambaum - Banquet Dinner Keynote Speaker
 Gene Ambaum is so good at making fun of strange, difficult customers in Unshelved because he is the strangest, most difficult customer of all. He has worked as a paperboy, auto mechanic, hotel desk clerk, operations director, publisher, and librarian. Plus he once taught English overseas where no one there was in a position to criticize his spelling.
George Shannon - CAYAS/OYAN Breakfast Keynote Speaker
 George Shannon’s career has spanned 40 years publishing picture books, folk lore and more. In addition to writing he has worked as a teacher, children’s librarian and storyteller. He currently lives on Bainbridge Island in Washington state. Mr. Shannon will be speaking at the CAYAS/OYAN Breakfast on Friday, April 26th at 8:30am
